Norman Borlaug Institute Seminar

Presented by Dr. Valerie Hudson, Professor and George H. W. Bush Chair, Director of Program on Women, Peace, and Security, Dept. of International Affairs, The Bush School of Governance and Public Service

Dr. Hudson will present the results of a DoD-funded project, “The First Political Order: Sex, Governance, and National Security”, examining the linkages between the subordination of women and nation-state outcomes along a variety of dimensions – security and conflict, political stability, economic performance, health, demography, and others.
